South Beach Or Bust

source source

Shocking … the word to best describe the differences between February spent in Massachusetts and February in Miami’s South Beach. One lucky lady will soon make the shocking discovery.

When Christy B. of Bridgewater, Mass., found out she’d won a trip to the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE, she didn’t really believe it. “The envelope showed up from FedEx and I thought, ‘Ok, someone is playing a joke on me.’ That’s something my husband would do.”

Turns out it was no joke and Christy and her husband will soon travel to Miami for the hottest culinary event on the beach. The couple will attend several high-style festival events including:

  • Fontainebleau Miami Beach presents Wine Spectator’s Best of the Best sponsored by Bank of America, a mix of the best new chefs in the country and their best dishes, paired with the best wines.
  • The Flavors of Flay presented by the Certified Angus Beef ® brand. Held at The Oasis at The Raleigh Hotel, the event brings together executive chefs from all of celebrity chef Bobby Flay’s restaurants including the Southwestern fare of Mesa Grill; American flavors with European flair from Bar Americain; classic protein from Bobby Flay Steak; and Bobby’s Burger Palace.

“I’ve always wanted to go to a food festival, but parenthood and work have never allowed my husband and I to escape. And if we’re going to go, it might as well be to South Beach to escape the winter chills of the Northeast!”

You can come along, too – virtually! – as we set off on a beachfront culinary adventure. It’ll be brimming with fabulous food, celebrity chefs, and the sights, sounds and colors of Miami’s high-energy South Beach.

Check in for daily festival updates beginning Feb. 23.
